Anglesey (known as Mon in the Early Medieval period)
Although we have drawn a single cross on Anglesey it is known that it was repeatedly
raided during the Viking period. Firm dates of 971, 980 and 987 are recorded for raids.
In 903 Ingimund arrived at Anglesey having been expelled from Dublin. He was subsequently
evicted by the Welsh king Clydog, son of Cadell.
